General Information

Q: How long is the Annual Conference?

A: Three days

Q: What are the dates of the conference?

A: June 12 – 14, 2020

Q: Where is the conference being held?

A: The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans

Q: When is the House of Delegates Business Meeting?

A: Saturday, June 14 – Monday, June 16

Q: Where is the House of Delegates Business Meeting being held?

A: The Hilton Riverside hotel

Q: Is the Crest Oral-B Breakfast open to anyone?

A: Tickets are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are limited to only registered paid attendees, unfortunately day-passes and guests are not eligible.

Q: Do I have to be member of ADHA to attend the conference?

A: No, the conference is open to everyone!

Q: Why should a student attend?

A: From the Undergraduate Student Research Competition to student-specific seminars, the Annual Conference offers engaging and useful tools for students to apply towards their professional career. Students have the opportunity to explore the Exhibit Hall, take various CE Courses as well as network with dental hygienists from across the country.

Q: Where should I stay?

A: ADHA has several hotel options for you to choose from based on your personal preference. Choose our headquarter hotel where the business meeting will take place or a more budget-friendly hotel that has complimentary breakfast. Please visit our Housing & Travel page for more details.

Q: How do I get from the airport to the hotel/conference center?

Registration

Q: How much does the conference cost?

A: Pricing for the conference can be on our Registration Information  page on the Annual Conference Website

Q: What’s included in the registration fee?

A: Each registration type is different. Visit the Registration page for more details

Q: What if I am a student and want CEs?

A: You can purchase any registration type that is eligible for CEs

Q: Can I purchase multiple Daily Passes?

A: Yes

Q: Do I still need to sign up in advance for Seminars and/or Hands- On Workshops?

A: Yes – the process will remain the same as previous years. Because there is limited seating for Hands-On Workshops and Seminars, ADHA reserves the right to give away your seat if you are not present 5 minutes prior to the start of the class.

Q: Can I purchase my own guest pass?

A: Guest passes can only be purchased under a paid registrant

Q: How do I purchase a guest pass for a family member/friend?

A: Complete your registration as normal and select the “Add-on” Guest option. This will be added to your cart.

Q: When is the deadline to cancel my registration?

A: Cancellation requests may only be submitted by writing (email/mail only) by Friday, May 8, 2020. A $75 administrative fee will be applied to the full conference registration categories. A $25 administrative fee will be applied to Retired, Daily Passes and Student registration categories. Refunds will not be eligible to Exhibit Hall Only, Guest badges or the President’s Dinner tickets.

No refunds will be accepted or granted including absences due to illness, weather, late arrivals, parking difficulties, or other reasons. Refunds will not be processed for any requests received after May 8, 2020.

Undergraduate/Research Posters

Q: What is the deadline to apply to present?

A: The deadline is Friday, March 6, 2020.

Q: What categories are available to me?

A: Students can present either a Research Poster or an Informative Poster Presentation.

Q: Do I have to be a student member?

A: Yes, students must be current ADHA members to participate in the Undergraduate Student Research Competition.

Q: Do I have to register for the conference as well or can I just present?

A: You must be registered for the conference in order to participate in the Undergraduate Student Research Competition.

Evening Events/Receptions

Q: Are the evening events included in my registration?

A: Yes, except for the events that require an additional registration fee (i.e. In Motion: 5K Walk/Run and President’s Reception

Q: Are the evening events open to everyone?

A: Yes, unless they are by invitation only.

CE Sessions

Q: What is the price of adding CE Seminars/ Hands-on Workshops?

A: Access to CE Seminars/Hands-on Workshops are included in your registration category (except for guest passes, HOD Only and Exhibits Only)! Your registration category dictates if you receive CE credit or not.

Q: What the if the Hands-On Workshop I wanted to attend is sold out?

A: Check the online planner to see if the workshop is being repeated later. Otherwise we will have other CE seminars you can attend.

Q: Will there be hand outs available before the conference?

A: ADHA will do its’ best to provide the hand outs prior to the conference. Handouts will be available online on the Mobile app, specific to each course. It will be the responsibility of the attendee to print out any documents as ADHA will not have any printers onsite.

Q: Last year, we didn’t need tickets to access the seminars. Will this be the same for 2020?

A: Yes, as we continue to “Go Green” and reduce the amount of printed tickets, you will not need a ticket to enter the education room. In order to receive CEs, you will need still need to register for the course.
