Monday, March 30th – 9am
The health and wellness of the dental hygiene community is our top priority. ADHA is closely monitoring the developments of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and is committed to a safe and productive 2020 Annual Conference.
As of March 16, 2020 the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends postponing events of 50 or more people for the next eight weeks. Our event is safely well past that current threshold. We remain optimistic and support evidence-based efforts underway to help slow the spread of the virus and reduce the impact.
The conference is currently proceeding as scheduled, June 12-14, 2020 in New Orleans, LA.
We are taking COVID-19 seriously and preparing for it by:
- Following the guidance and recommended safety measures of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
- Setting up hand sanitation stations throughout the conference, and supply hand soap in restrooms, as well as adhering to CDC recommendations for heightened levels of cleanliness at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
- Working with the city of New Orleans, airport authorities, and area hotels to coordinate appropriate safety procedures.
- Meeting on a regular basis with key conference stakeholders to evaluate risk in New Orleans.
ADHA will always act in the best interest of our community, and we will continue to monitor and update this page with any new information as it evolves.
